The CC6 cross country league is a friendly low key league organised by the running clubs of south Hampshire for their members and provides an excellent introduction to competitive off road racing.
These local races are free to club members and take place early on a Sunday morning between October and March. Distances are between 4 and 5 miles and have similar locations to the RR10 series. As per the RR10 series, there is no need to enter in advance, just turn up on the day, along with your club vest and run. Car sharing is encouraged as at some venues there is limited parking. See the Running Weakly e-mail for details.
There are 8 races in the league and individual runners can run in 7 of the races. Runners should not compete in the ‘home’ race as it is felt this disadvantaged smaller clubs. Eastleigh Running Club are responsible for organising and marshalling one of the races, usually the first race of the season at Fleming Park. Individual scoring is based on the best 4 races out of the 8 available races. Team scoring 7 out of 7 races. Vet categories (V40, 50, 60, 70 for both men and ladies) based on age on day of first race.
